Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has announced that Brittany Walth, Float Clinical Secretary for the Rehabilitation Center at Mt. Ascutney Hospital, has been selected as Employee of the Month for May, 2021. The monthly award recognizes employees who have demonstrated sustained service excellence in their respective departments and have displayed compassion, a caring approach, and continuous hard work within their community.
As a Clinical Secretary in the Rehabilitation Center, Walth greets people, answers calls, registers patients, and verifies demographic and insurance forms and information as needed. She schedules requested referral appointments and performs final insurance-related duties during check-out following appointments.
Belinda Needham-Shropshire, her supervisor, says “Brittany has worked in Outpatient Therapy for only a short time but has made such a difference in the department atmosphere, in patient care, and with process improvement. She frequently covers various desks at a moment’s notice, all with positivity and a smile on her face. She is willing, happy and eager to learn new tasks while keeping up with her normal assigned duties. Brittany has a contagious, upbeat attitude and is always willing to help her coworkers and patients. She has been a wonderful addition to our department. Congratulations Brittany, and thank you for all you do!”
Walth is a resident of Perkinsville, Vermont. She has been a member of the MAHHC staff since August 5, 2019.
