Windsor, VT — Vermont Department of Health and the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports recognized Dartmouth Health member Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) with a 2024 Governor’s Excellence in Worksite Wellness award. MAHHC received the highest-level recognition (gold) for its commitment to creating a workplace that promotes employee health and wellness. On October 10, wellness program manager Mima Roberts received the award in person at the 2024 Worksite Wellness Awards and Conference in Burlington, VT.

MAHHC has a comprehensive online wellness portal that provides employees with wellness newsletters, webinars and education throughout the year with financial rewards for participation. The wellness team supports employee well-being by focusing on six dimensions: physical, emotional, nutritional, social, occupational and financial. Some examples include virtual exercise classes, corporate gym membership discounts, continuing education and career advancement opportunities.

The Governor’s Excellence in Worksite Wellness award acknowledges worksites across Vermont for their programs, policies and environments that encourage the health and wellness of employees and their families.

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has awarded MAHHC with Level 3 status, the highest level of medical home designation.
