Doiron, an acute care nurse, was recognized for her above-and-beyond work ethic and good humor
Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC), a Dartmouth Health member, has named Ruth Doiron, RN, an acute care nurse, the hospital's Employee of the Month for May 2024. The hospital recognizes employees who consistently exceed expectations with reliability and daily dedication to their work.
As an acute care nurse, Doiron specializes in providing immediate and intensive care to patients with severe, urgent or life-threatening conditions in a fast-paced environment. She develops initial medical care plans, monitors patients closely and identifies problems as they arise. A MAHHC employee since 2010, Doiron was named May's employee of the month in recognition of her hard work and positive attitude.
"Ruth regularly picks up shifts to help out the unit, her coworkers, and the patients and is such a joy to work with," said acute care colleague Ally Robaczynski, RN. "I know, for a fact, that our patients truly appreciate her. I've witnessed her attentiveness many times. For example, I often walk down the hall and see her transporting patients, and they aren't even her patients. She steps up when her fellow nurses are tied up, and she always comes to work with energy, humor and a great attitude."
Doiron is a resident of Windsor, VT.
