The speech-language pathologist at Mt. Ascutney Hospital evaluates and treats adults with neurological diagnoses including stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's Disease, and more. Treatments include swallowing (dysphagia), speech (dysarthria), language (aphasia), and cognitive-linguistic skills (memory, problem-solving, etc.).
Speech therapy is provided Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The office is in the Rehabilitation Center in the main hospital building, just past the Emergency Room. A referral is often needed, so speak with your primary care provider if you feel you could benefit from these services.
